Obligatory update
Feb. 27th, 2004 10:53 pmWent over to see Ash last night after choir practice, which was fab (and also met the mysterious Valentina, who is extremely cool.)
Work is annoying at the moment - there's nothing urgent, just lots of things I should be working on, and I can't find a lot of motivation for it. Also, my bank suck at returning my phone calls, and I can't get the Prince's Trust funding (and incidentally start househunting) until I get a coherent answer from them. Gggrrr. But otherwise, life is good.
Ooh, and a plug; the Renaissance Singers are performing two of my pieces, and lots of other fab music, in two concerts in the next week:
Sunday 29th Feb: Linlithgow Church, 7:30pm (I think)
Thursday 4th March: Canongate Kirk, 7:45pm - admission £6 full price / £4 concessions / £2 students. It would be fab to see some of you there, if you're in Edinburgh. Music by Palestrina, Lassus and Hutchings (ooh, that's fun to write).
A busy weekend beckons, with a Sinfonia concert on Saturday (7.30pm in the Reid Hall, Bristo Square - tickets quite cheap, party afterwards in Greyfriars Bobby's) and rehearsals all day before that, and then the usual chruch service on Sunday followed by Renaissance stuff. Need to do some shopping in between.
Monday orchestra. Tuesday chorus. Wednesday renaissance singers. Thursday concert. Friday is set aside for
ashfae-time. Saturday rehearsals and rehearsal management (at least I get paid for the latter.) Sunday chorus concert. Gah.
Thank goodness it all calms down after that. (In theory, anyway.)
