A mildly insane couple of days
Jan. 6th, 2004 12:26 am( work, stuff )
I went and saw ROTK as a reward for getting all the important stuff done. Finally. I was very restrained. I only shouted "That's not in the book!" five times. (Audibly, anyway.) And "thank you, Captain Obvious" when Legolas says "a distraction." And at one point where an earthquake leaves six thousand people standing on the edge of a precipice and not falling in, "well, wasn't that convenient? And not mentioned in the book, either." Luckily, I had a fair few empty seats around me, so nobody was able to give me dirty looks.
Strangely, I think that's the first time I've been to the cinema alone. I was startled by how many guys were sat by themselves (two near me, about ten more scattered around the cinema) - no women there alone though.
