Dec. 6th, 2004

It's been ages since I updated.

Saturday was spent in Glasgow with [livejournal.com profile] arsey, [livejournal.com profile] kizzib, [livejournal.com profile] chthonya, [livejournal.com profile] ashfae, and [livejournal.com profile] fyrie (whose evil plan the whole outing was). Found some presents, including something for my Dad. Then I headed off to Dalkeith and spent the evening printing out music. I now have presentation copies of all my good pieces, and need to get them photocopied and sent off for various competitions. Also considering sending a bundle off to church music publishers.

Sunday, Greyfriars as usual. Some people there still don't know I'm engaged. Some of the slightly senile members of the congregation think I'm still at Cambridge. Then we had my parents over for Sunday lunch. Eeep. Fed them stew and dumplings, and [livejournal.com profile] ashfae made fantastic gingerbread. (Mmm, we still have lots of it left!) Then we spent the afternoon making wedding plans. Scary stuff.

Actually, having my parents over is fairly relaxing, because they're not too fussed about the way the flat looks. Having my Gran over will be a lot more scary (probably sometime like December 22nd) and having my neatnik Auntie Anne over would be utterly terrifying.

Today has mainly consisted of work - putting quotes together.

I still haven't made any progress on the presentation I've got to put together for the RSAMD interview (ten minutes on how my previous experience relates to the job description). Apparently working from hand-held notes is fine, and what they expect. It's before a panel of three. Does anyone have any experience on doing similar presentations?

It's cold and dark outside, and I will leave shopping until tomorrow.
